Easy Fruit Crumble

The fruit for this crumble is cooked in the steam oven. This method is fast and the fruit keeps its shape, and any spices or flavours you cook with it are infused in the fruit. 

 I use a premade muesli (granola) in this recipe. Really whatever you have in the pantry will work well but if you dont have one, then a mixture of rolled oats and any sort of seeds or nuts will work just as well 

 

This is made in individual serving sized ramekins, but you could make it in one large dish as well.  You can change the fruit according to the season. I used a mixture of granny smith apple, rhubarb and strawberries. 


For 4 ramekins 

 

3-4  cups chopped raw fruit ( apple, rhubarb, berries, peaches, apricots etc) 

 1-2 T raw sugar

 1 tspn cornflour 

 3 star anise

 1 cinnamon quill broken in 2 or 3 pieces

  

 60 butter chopped

 1/2 cup flour

 1/3 cup raw sugar

 1 cup premade muesli or mixture of rolled oats, nuts and seeds.
